In the New Testament, you find Barnabas (Acts 9:27) coming along side Saul, giving a positive word to weary disciples of the recently converted persecutor of the church.   Barnabas was sent to Antioch from Jerusalem (Acts 11:22) to verify positive reports of God’s grace and power.  There,  Barnabas discovered the great things God was doing and came along side Saul to encourage.  Barnabas also went to Tarsus to find Saul.   There, the two of them  taught  (Acts 11:25-26) together for more than a year.  In Antioch, Saul (Paul) and Barnabas  (Acts 13:1) were sent out….” from among them.”  The rest is history.  Barnabas in the Greek language means encourage.

This is what we do.  Our hearts desire is to come along side ministry and fuel Kingdom thinking, doing all we can to equip and encourage.  Through  relationship and prayer, we speak the prophetic word that lifts up and builds the church.

Barnabas Task is a ministry that has been in development for more than 30 years. Encourage, Equip and Evangelism are signatures for the ministry.
