Health Care Team
Santiago-Nov. 1-7, 2009
We are going to a place called Cien Fuegos, a location where kids go to garbage dump to find things to sell for food. Without lunch, they can’t go to school. We have room for four more people, especially looking for doctors. Linda Shuff, a GI nurse, said of last years trip, the “experience was the best I have ever had.” A Health Care Team has at least six areas of compassion:
- Triage
- Children
- Personal Interview with a doctor
- Community Health Education
- Spiritual Counseling
- Pharmacy
We always work with a local church, feeling that that this is the best for follow-up. Another huge factor in developing a team is the missionary you work with. We will be working with 28 year veteran missionaries Paul and Eileen Allyn. On ground cost per person is $900 per person. If you want to sign up for this trip, please email immediately at taskisgreat@gmail.com. Thanks.
